Good to know
Do you do civil unions as well as marriages?
Yes. I’m happy to conduct both, and I’ll talk you through the difference so you can choose what feels right.
How does the marriage licence work?
You apply online through Births, Deaths and Marriages, no more than 3 months and at least 3 working days before your wedding. Name me as your celebrant on the form. The process page explains every step.
Do we need witnesses?
Yes, two witnesses are needed to sign on the day. They can be anyone you like.
Can our ceremony be religious, or not at all?
Either. Ceremonies can be religious, non-denominational or entirely secular, with as much or as little tradition as you want.
When do we pay?
Nothing until your marriage licence arrives. Then a 50% deposit confirms your booking, and the balance is due the day before your wedding.
